This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used by Tails Abode. We keep this short on purpose.

1. The short version

The marketing site (tailsabode.uk) sets no analytics or advertising cookies.
It uses one local-storage entry (tails-theme) to remember your light/dark preference. This is not a cookie and is not transmitted.
The application (app.tailsabode.uk) uses one strictly necessary session cookie for sign-in. It cannot be disabled while you are signed in.
We do not use third-party advertising or social-media tracking pixels.

3. Third-party requests

The marketing site loads Google Fonts from fonts.googleapis.com. Google may log the request (IP and user agent) for service operation; we do not pass identifying data. We are evaluating self-hosting fonts to remove this dependency.

4. Children

Tails Kids is designed not to set any tracking cookies. The browser companion stores gameplay state on the child's device; the parental dashboard syncs only when a parent opts in.

5. How to manage cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly-necessary session cookie will sign you out of the platform. There is nothing else to opt out of.

6. Changes

If we add any new cookies (for example, a privacy-respecting analytics tool), we will update this page and ask for explicit consent before enabling them.
