These terms govern your use of the Tails Abode website (tailsabode.uk), the adoption platform (app.tailsabode.uk), and the Tails Kids closed beta. By creating an account or joining the waitlist you agree to these terms. The service is operated by Cool Goods Ltd (Companies House no. 16560525), trading as Tails Abode.
You agree not to: post listings for animals you do not lawfully own or rehome on behalf of; use the platform to facilitate the commercial sale of animals (including breach of Lucy's Law); harass other users; circumvent verification; scrape data; or upload unlawful content.
Tails Abode is a platform that connects verified UK rescues with prospective adopters. We are not a rescue. We do not own, transport or rehome animals. Adoption decisions, fees and home-check policies belong to each individual rescue. Disputes between adopters and rescues should be raised first with the rescue; we will assist where appropriate.
"Verified" means we have reviewed at least one piece of evidence (charity register entry, CIC certificate or comparable proof). It does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee or warranty. We may revoke verification at any time.
The Tails Kids closed beta is provided "as-is" while in development. Features may change, break or be removed. Beta access is invitation-only and may be revoked. Use of the parental dashboard requires the parent or guardian to opt in.
Use of the adoption platform is free for registered UK charities and adopters. Tails Kids is free during the beta. We may introduce paid plans in future for ancillary services; existing free features will remain free for existing users for a reasonable transition period.
You retain ownership of content you submit (animal photos, listings, application answers). You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and reproduce that content as required to operate the service. You confirm you have the right to submit it.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from acts or omissions of rescues, adopters or other users; downtime, beta defects or feature changes; or animal-welfare outcomes after an adoption is finalised. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under English law.
You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@tailsabode.uk. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or applicable law.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced 30 days in advance via email and a notice on tailsabode.uk.
